@theidlepoet @midjourney From the images they showed so far I’d say it doesn’t have much of any strengths but maybe someday it will. There’s just very few reasons I can think of you’d want to image all your superficial soft tissue is such detail.
English

@C_biscuits6 @midjourney Sure, and if I need to see bone I'll get a CT and if I need soft tissue detail I'll lean MR. Different modalities have their strengths, this is novel and I wouldn't be too quick to write it off

@MystScot @midjourney My whole job is interpreting medical images so I think I have a bit of insight here.
English

@C_biscuits6 @midjourney So going by the presentation, you have made an assumption right away that it's going to be useless with no thorough idea of the technology used or any information given by medical/technology professionals...you get the village idiot of the year award on X...enjoy.
English

@theidlepoet @midjourney It’s a matter of physics. Ultrasound has been around for a long time, but sound waves still don’t travel through air and bone
English

@C_biscuits6 @midjourney Do you remember what the first CT and MRI images looked like? I wouldn't write it off just yet.
English

@mattparlmer What resolution? You can barely tell the kidney apart from the liver on their images lol. It’s useless. On top of that you can never image lung, brain, heart, bones, bowel with any air or structures deep to it (eg, pancreas), etc.
English

I’m tearing up man, holy shit, at this resolution they’re gonna be able to pinpoint basically any tumor

@dealsanddrones @midjourney Why is everyone comparing this MRI? There’s literally no magnetic resonance (MR). Should compare it to CT or ultrasound since it computed tomography (CT) with ultrasound.
