The “quick-build” roundabout is designed with freight in mind and uses modular materials within existing pavement to cut costs and speed delivery while improving safety. If all goes as planned, construction could start in 2027. More updates soon. @CaltransHQ

Crews continue clearing slide material from the catchment berm on Route 36 west of Grizzly Creek Redwoods SP in Humboldt County. - 8a-5p: typical delays ~15 min (up to 30 min depending on activity) - Outside work hours: ~5 min delays This work is expected to wrap up Friday.

Starting Sunday, March 15, expect up to 10 minute delays overnight on U.S. 101 between La Franchi Road and Hewlitt and Sturtevant Road in Hopland, from 8 PM to 6 AM, Sunday through Thursday. PG&E is relocating and updating gas lines as part of the Hopland ADA project.

Caltrans crews recently removed about 10 cubic yards of debris and litter from an encampment beneath U.S. 101 near Ukiah in Mendocino County. The cleanup is part of our continuing work to enhance public safety and maintain California’s highways. @CaltransHQ

District 1 Maintenance is monitoring river levels at Fernbridge on Route 211. As of Tuesday evening, 2/24 the highway is open. The Eel is projected to reach 23.37ft around 6am Wed., 2/25 Historically, the bridge has been closed when the river reaches 24ft.

Reminder Fernbridge travelers: Guardrail work is scheduled tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 7a-5p on the Ferndale side of Fernbridge. We’re extending the guardrail as a barrier for new seismic gate equipment. One-way traffic control will be in effect, with up to 10-min delays.
