He got rid of the “ball tap” in his glove before he delivers the pitch. A lot of the Japanese pitchers use the “ball tap”.

Best part about this year is that there’s probably 10 storylines that would have dominated any other year — Lowe, BRey, Cruz career years, Endy breaking out, Ashcraft and Skenes both top 10 pitchers in the NL, even on the farm Gray and Hernandez both rocketing up the rankings

Really don’t get the fascination of people picking Turang over Lowe for the ASG. Lowe has a better OPS, xwOBA, 9 more HR, 9 more RBI and he even has more OAA if you are worried about fielding
