On Thursday, May 7, at its official annual dinner held in Athens at the Grande Bretagne Hotel, the American Hellenic Institute (AHI) will bestow upon me the great honor of an award for our contribution, through Capital Link, to strengthening Greek-American relations, as well as for promoting Greece as a strategic investment destination within the international investment community. On the same evening, Mr. Giannis Sarakakis, Executive Chairman of the Sarakakis Group and President of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, will also be honored. The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) is a prominent nonprofit public policy organization and think tank based in Washington, D.C., which works systematically to strengthen relations among the United States, Greece, and Cyprus, advancing Hellenic issues and interests at the center of U.S. decision-making. Under the leadership of Nick Larigakis, AHI serves as a consistent and trusted voice of the Greek-American community in Washington.

During the 20th Annual Capital Link International Shipping Forum, Mr. Joshua Volz, Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Europe, Eurasia, Africa and the Middle East in the Office of International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy, discussed the volatility of the current geopolitical environment.
