Calling Sehmat #Raazi ranks among the top books on espionage ever written, globally. It exposes Pakistan across border, hostile forces in Bollywood & a Punjab-based criminals within. Appointing Meghna Gulzar was my gravest misjudgment. Despite clear warnings, I failed to foresee how ideological bias would end up diminishing the true spirit of the protagonist. Nearly two decades later, the book continues to leave its mark across the world. Penguin best sellers; Vichhoda, Gobind, The Chabimaster are being scripted, for our beautiful nation deserves to see the complete truth.

@sikka_harinder Are you crazy- she elevated your book with her sensitive handling and selecting and excellent star cast who put out nuanced performances. Strident jingoism and propaganda for its agenda is what you wanted- I am really disappointed- I thought your work had brought out the humane.

@SaketGokhale Unbelievable the efficacy of the blinkers worn by bhakts - they are completely unable to expand their vision and are inevitably reduced to 'whataboutary' in their responses - what a shame.

I’d request everyone to take a minute and consider this: 👉 Opposition thrown into jail 👉 Media silenced or worshipping the PM 👉 Protestors branded as “anti-India” 👉 Courts & institutions made into tools of ruling party 👉 PM can do nothing wrong 👉 One individual becomes greater than the party 👉 Parliament is turned into a joke 👉 Corruption done under the cover of “national interest” 👉 Opposition protests used as an excuse for suspending democratic rights 👉 Criticism of PM seen as threat to India 👉 One Nation, One Leader Incidentally, this is what happened during the Emergency. But 50 years later, you would not be mistaken for assuming that all of this refers to today’s India under Modi. There are two essential differences between then and now: 1. The Emergency in 1975 was officially declared unlike the undeclared Emergency since 2014 2. The Emergency in 1975 lasted for 21 months & not for 11 years “But Modi wins elections” cannot be a justification. Indira Gandhi also won in 1980 despite imposing the Emergency. We clearly learnt NOTHING from the Emergency. Because if we had, we wouldn’t allow what happened in 1975 to repeat itself in 2025. It is not democracy if the dictator in power merely keeps changing from one party to another. In the last 50 years, only the ruling party in power imposing the dictatorship has changed. The crimes either remain the same or have gotten worse. Modi wants to pretend to condemn the Emergency today while taking full inspiration from 1975 & repeating it all over again.

@rohini_sgh @ReallySwara @Mahmudabad Very unfortunate. Reread what he had to say over a few times but could not find what could have invited arrest leave alone cause offense. Makes Haryana look really bad. Is this how we treat our distinguished academics who chose to come home to pursue their careers.

The appalling harassment of @Mahmudabad by Haryana police is condemnable. Nothing that Ali said disparaged the nation. The police case inflicted on him by makes the state look intolerant and paranoid. Indian police must stop further ruining India’s image globally.

I’ve always been strongly against abusive and vulgar language. In the 1000+ videos, shorts and reels that I have made, you won’t find a single abusive word for anyone. What is being done today in the name of dank comedy is pure nonsense. The only purpose is to shock and disgust audiences for views, which is having a disastrous impact on the moral development of our youth. However, calling for any govt bans for this is not the solution as it may usher in a harsh censorship regime. Instead, we need to pressurize content creators to make better content. Shows like India’s Got Latent have the same impact on moral decay of society as films like Animal and they need to be called out for it in strong words.

For me, crossing over Attari-Wagah border is always special, no matter how many times I go...the reminder that we are joined to our neighbours by land, and that no matter how much we deny our relationship, we will always be there, abutting each other, a fact that regular people on both sides are always able to see, even if our capitals don't and we always get a warm sendoff and an equally warm welcome whichever way we cross #TobaTekSinghkiJai instagram.com/p/DBTz3pKSw-3/…

First of all you are perceived as a Hindu convert to their faith which they love, second you are a left winger and not really pro India in my opinion - you are against this very democracy, third you pretend as if nothing is happening when it comes to the war they are waging against us for more than 75 years now, everywhere from Kashmir (terrorism, beheading of our soldiers, the genocide of the Pandits) to Punjab (terrorism, gun running, fake currency, drugs) to Gujarat (drugs and fake currency). People of India have died in bomb blasts and shootings due to their terrorism and malicious intent against us. Despite all this if writing such lovey dovey nonsense is what matters to you then there is nothing wrong in stating that you are not a journalist who has right intentions for my country India. As a journalist every one of you needs to draw a line as to what is in my country’s interest - Pakistan and its deep state are our existential threat, especially for the Hindus of this land!

@rajpreetaulakh @suhasinih Ridiculous querolous query in response to a genuinely heartfelt post - one can always be on the side of peace and humanity irrespective of who is fostering it, and one should always be against aggression and violence irrespective of who is propagating it.

@_shortarmjab_ @FakharZamanLive You guys are ridiculous- taking offense on behalf of Kohli who himself would praise Babar Azam. The comparison is not between two players but two decisions, i.e., to bench a great player during a lean period OR not!

It’s concerning to hear suggestions about dropping Babar Azam. India didn’t bench Virat Kohli during his rough stretch between 2020 and 2023, when he averaged 19.33, 28.21, and 26.50, respectively. If we are considering sidelining our premier batsman, arguably the best Pakistan has ever produced, it could send a deeply negative message across the team. There is still time to avoid pressing the panic button; we should focus on safeguarding our key players rather than undermining them.

Umar Khalid has been in jail for 4 years w/o trial. The charges against him are demonstrably absurd. Does the dictum of Bail being the rule, jail the exception not apply to him, especially when there is no chance of trial being over in a reasonable time. This is a huge blot on the judiciary

@Deb_livnletliv @amitmalviya The term 'aweful' just means that which fills you with awe- much like the present day catchall 'awesome'! It has however over the years acquired a negative connotation though in older writings we see references to the 'aweful' glory of god- invoking it's orignsl literal meaning.

@Deb_livnletliv @amitmalviya The term 'memorable' just means that which is etched in your memory, yes it is more often used for a pleasant or happy memory but that does not make it's usage in Dr. Tharoor's statement incorrect. '
