One of the reasons I never bothered becoming a political journalist, is they are like sports journalists, they just talk about the numbers.... Never the policy… Never asking the single most important question of all: That there are no easy party-political answers to the problems we face and we need to work together... across national boundaries… we have more in common with our alleged enemies and with the poor people in the small boats than we think. Modern insurgent politics, much of it, has no actual answers to the actual issues.... the quality of people winning power in the world is deeply depressing.

That moment was a genuine turning point for me.
When ordinary British citizens were immediately framed as “far right” in the aftermath of the 3 young girls from Southport being murdered, I realised something had gone badly wrong in this country.
It was the moment I started questioning how the government views and treats its own people.

As Muslims you should integrate, love Britain, put Britain first, be a net contributor and call out those within your communities that represent a threat to Britain.
That is not what we're seeing, to often we see the opposite.
If you'd rather live under Muslim law and ways of carrying on, go to parts of the world where that's how it is, don't try and bring that here, we don't want it.

🚨 A man has been arrested after a flammable substance was reportedly poured around St Andrews church in Hornchurch, Essex.
Police were called to the scene with reports of a man acting suspiciously.

Morning, Keir. While you're sipping your fair trade coffee, 1,900 of your councillors just got their P45s. That's not a "mid-term dip" that's a massacre.
First you tried to cancel elections entirely, attempting to deny 4.6 million people their democratic voice because you feared the verdict. Only when Reform UK took you to court did you back down like a coward. And still the British people delivered their judgment: you're not the change they voted for. You're the Tory continuation they feared.
The working-class communities that trusted Labour are now flocking to Reform. Your progressive base is defecting to the Greens. Even Wales, Wales! is about to end 27 years of Labour rule. You've achieved what the Conservatives couldn't in decades: made Labour irrelevant.
Your deputy calls it "tough." I call it catastrophic. When even your own MPs are briefing about your departure timetable, you know the game is up.
The rose emoji in your posts is wilting, Keir. Your "stronger and fairer Britain" is weaker and more divided than ever. The only thing you've delivered is a masterclass in how to alienate an entire nation in record time.
