Yesterday our #Thames team heard that the #Romney lock gate collar strap had broken, closing the river to all navigation. This morning, we used a crane to lift the gate and repair the strap. River's back open #SpeedyRepairs

@TW11Harbour They have been cut out so the studs are there but there cut level with the floor so no good any more sadly, and at Romney there are drop in posts but the posts have been bined or so I’ve been told

@Charlie_Bil What's up with it ? It's literally just a huge ring set into a massive block of concrete buried in the floor. Ops have winched gates back into place with tirfers off them since the dawn of time.
