What's the case for new pipelines? New report finds $31B economic lift — & 112,000 jobs – for Canada from new oil pipelines “I can’t think of anything else that would give such a large jolt to the CDN economy over a 10-yr period,” says ATB's Mark Parsons. calgaryherald.com/opinion/column…

Since the start of the crisis, I have covered the basics on the following physical oil from an Asian refiner's perspective: 1) Crude 2) Naphtha + LPG 3) Mogas 4) Jet fuel 5) Diesel 6) Fuel oil Links in the thread below for easy reference. I hope this will be a helpful resource for many out there who do not understand how crude gets converted to a refined product, and therefore why the pricing and availability of different fuels will be impacted quite significantly for a bit longer than you would have anticipated. #oott

Canada says it will support IEA’s plan to release oil reserves by producing 23.6 million barrels for export, likely over 3-6 months But output is largely what was already planned by CDN producers – not additional, extraordinary production. calgaryherald.com/opinion/column… #cdnpoli #ableg

Varcoe: 'All hat and no cattle': Canada has big reserves, but can't get much more oil to strained global markets today “It’s nauseating to read a response like that. Our ability to respond is exactly zero,” says Eric Nuttall with Ninepoint Partners calgaryherald.com/opinion/column… #ableg

Varcoe: Alberta would run a $10B+ budget surplus if yesterday's oil price held throughout the new fiscal year “We’ve talked about a royalty roller-coaster before, but we haven’t seen anything yet," says U of C economist Trevor Tombe. calgaryherald.com/opinion/column… #ableg #cdnpoli #yyc

TD Securities says oil now “repriced higher across all scenarios" Even if war ends quickly, it's unlikely oil would fall below $75 in mid-term. A 3-month conflict pushes floor price near $90 – & damaged infrastructure could see brief spikes to $250. calgaryherald.com/opinion/column… #ableg
