@DancerOnFilm This was directed by King Vidor, not Fleming, though. Vidor did most of the Kansas scenes.

In the world of opera, this is known as "Eurotrash" - deliberately goofy productions with nudity and violence designed to alienate the audience. This has been going on for around 50 years.

It appears that this "conservative" comic strip has reached the point where it's fantasizing about killing FEMA workers

@paulril59129292 Maybe? But reusable bags are way cheaper. I have Trader Joe's bags that are at least 10 years old and are still in great shape

I don't get this. This dude bought a small $200+ shopping cart to use at the grocery store. Why?? They have better carts at the store that you can use for free! You don't even have to dissemble them and put them back in the trunk.

@mudron Yeah, I'm thinking that these are aimed for business use not guys who want a personal grocery cart

OK, I looked it it up and it's more designed for businesses and such to move stuff around office supplies and not necessarily a grocery cart

@LostTurntable I can't remember anything about the Killers other than them playing at my work and they got mad when one of my co-workers told them he just there for the free food.

C'mon people, these songs were hits 15 years apart, - Rocket 88 was 1951 and a huge hit. Who Do You Love was 1956, and was utterly bizarre. Kids were not listening to the Chordettes in 1960

@othatsraspberry @Drk29TTV Cool. I've been thinking of upgrading my ancient PC to a Ryzen build. I just always hate it when I didn't quite plug something into the board all the way and I have figure out why it's not working.

@EnrichFlavor What seems weird to me is all these conservative, religious gen-xer ladies turning 50 and getting into edibles now that they are starting to get aches and pains

As someone who remembers the late 70s and early 80s, this is one of the most wrong tweets I've seen. Most people didn't smoke in front of their kids. But I saw a lot of bongs and hookahs sitting on people's coffee tables back then. Pot was pretty much everywhere.
