That is a good point regarding the Budapest Memorandum but most large countries and powerful countries follow the do as I say not as I do mantra. I don't see the rest of the countries in the Middle East getting hot and bothered over the invasion of Iran. This is a personal point of view gleaned from dating an Iranian Military Student. It did not last long, but I did learn that Iranians believe that they are better than the rest of the people of the Middle East. They point out that they are Persian and their slurs often aim to depict Arabs as uncivilized or primitive in contrast to ancient Persian civilization. So there is no love lost between Iran and the other citizens of the Middle East. That doesn't mean that they will tolerate a war on their doorstep but given the fact that Israel killed over 73 thousand Palestinians it is clear that if the leaders in the Middle East don't have a use for a people they have no problem letting them die.

Zakharova called on the UN and the IAEA to provide an assessment of these "irresponsible actions." "Washington and Tel Aviv have once again embarked on a dangerous adventure, rapidly bringing the region closer to humanitarian, economic, and potentially radiological catastrophe," she said. Last year, Iran and Russia signed a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement. By the way, after these statements, one could ask Moscow: what about the Budapest Memorandum?
Anton Gerashchenko@Gerashchenko_en

Russian foreign ministry issued a statement regarding strikes on Iran. A very vivid example of the pot calling the kettle black. It said that the strikes are a "premeditated and unprovoked act of armed aggression against a sovereign and independent UN member state, in violation of the fundamental principles and norms of international law." Full statement translated below: "Statement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the armed aggression by the United States and Israel against Iran. On the morning of February 28, the armed forces of the United States and Israel began carrying out airstrikes on the territory of Iran. The scale and nature of the preceding reckless military-political and propaganda preparations, including the deployment of a large U.S. military grouping to the region, leave no doubt that this is a premeditated and unprovoked act of armed aggression against a sovereign and independent UN member state, in violation of the fundamental principles and norms of international law. It is also condemnable that these attacks are being carried out under the cover of a renewed negotiation process, allegedly aimed at ensuring long-term stabilization around the Islamic Republic, and contrary to signals conveyed to the Russian side regarding the lack of Israeli interest in military confrontation with Iran. The international community, including the leadership of the UN and the IAEA, is obliged to immediately provide an objective and uncompromising assessment of these irresponsible actions, which are aimed at undermining peace, stability, and security in the Middle East. Washington and Tel Aviv have once again embarked on a dangerous adventure, which rapidly brings the region closer to humanitarian, economic, and potentially radiological catastrophe. The intentions of the aggressors are clear and openly declared - to destroy the constitutional order and eliminate the leadership of a state that refused to submit to coercive dictates and hegemonism. The responsibility for the negative consequences of this man-made crisis, including unpredictable chain reactions and the escalation of violence, rests entirely with them. The severe consequences of these ill-considered actions for the global non-proliferation regime, anchored by the NPT, are being openly ignored. At the same time, the U.S.-Israeli tandem hides behind a pretended concern to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Bombing nuclear facilities under IAEA safeguards is unacceptable. In reality, the motives of Washington and Tel Aviv have nothing to do with non-proliferation. They cannot fail to understand that by plunging the Middle East into uncontrolled escalation, they are effectively prompting countries worldwide, especially in the region, to develop increasingly serious means to counter emerging threats. Particular concern is caused by the serial nature of the destabilizing strikes carried out by the U.S. Administration in recent months against the international legal foundations of the world order, including non-intervention in internal affairs, the renunciation of threats or use of force, and the peaceful resolution of international disputes. We demand that the situation be immediately returned to the path of political and diplomatic resolution. Russia, as before, is ready to assist in seeking peaceful solutions based on international law, mutual respect, and a balance of interests."

He's Zelensky's choice for president once they can have elections; I will bet the farm on that. I wondered why take him into the civil world of government but I can see what Zelensky is thinking. He's perfect for the job especially given his strong negotiating background and his unique view of the world. President Budanov has a good ring to it. For those of you who think I and others are pushing Zelensky out - we are not. I would be happy to see him run again as would others, but I know he needs a break from the responsibility. War is extremely hard on those who care about their people. FDR was a lot older but he died of a stroke a little over 3 and 1/2 years after he sent Americans to war. It is truly a pity that Truman had no difficulty sending men and women off to war again but It was the Korean war that cost him a second term.

Kyrylo Budanov: "I emphasize, and I want to draw attention to the fact, that some countries are still behaving rather unfairly. These countries, in violation of international sanctions, allow the Russian Federation to obtain weapons, ammunition, and critically important components. They also allow their citizens to join the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces."

I pray that this war ends soon. I also pray that Trump can be trusted. I don't trust him, I never have but for the sake of Ukraine I know that members of the Joint Chiefs and members of the military despite Trump's plans will act if Putin reneges on the deal. Quite honestly this would be what the rank and file of the military would demand to take action. There are rumors coming from bases around the world that young officers and many of their subordinates want to act. They want to deal with Trump and end Trump's reign permanently. I've been told that it is just hot blooded young officers, male and female who want to act. I am female, over 60 and want to act, so am I a hot blooded officer who wants to act against Trump, I don't think so. I just despise the man and know he is an embarrassment to the dignity of the United States of America.

❗️Russia has agreed to accept security guarantees for Ukraine from the US - Kyrylo Budanov. He said: At the previous negotiations, the Russian side has said directly that they will accept the security guarantees that are offered to Ukraine by the United States of America. And that's that. They say directly that yes, we will have to, we are ready to accept what is offered by the United States. For Ukraine. These are our guarantees. And they will have to respect them. And that the idea comes from the United States - they might not like them, but they cannot not respect them. And they said it directly. So I also see certain progress in the issue of security guarantees.

Trump's had a bug up his ass regarding Iran since his first term. He not only killed the Iran Nuclear Deal wherein the Iranians agreed not to pursue a nuclear weapon in exchange for the US sanctions relief which allowed Iran to regain access to billions of dollars in funds that had been previously frozen in foreign bank accounts due to US sanctions. It was also during Donald Trump's first administration that he ordered the strike that killed Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. That took place on January 3, 2020, at Baghdad International Airport in Iraq. Qasem Soleimani was the commander of the Quds Force, an elite, covert branch of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) which Trump claimed posed a danger to US Citizens who worked in the Middle East as well as US troops stationed in the Middle East. All of which sent Iran back to the pursuit of nuclear weapons. So Trump always wanted a war of his own and now he's finally got one.

Ukraine is living inside a large war for a long time now. We know these strikes on large cities. We truly understand what it's like to experience these moments on the videos. I see these explosions and I am so sorry for the civilians who are suffering. Evil multiplies by impunity. Destabilization, escalation - they are all spread all over the world through the virus of impunity. Putin is one of its creators. But that's a global problem. And a global war.

Putin can't use nuclear bombs or a dirty bomb because President Xi has forbidden it. Putin made a deal with China in 2023 and now that China has people in place in Russia's far east, China is reeling Putin in and with him comes Russia and about 1 million square miles of which were former Chinese land lost to invasion by Russia and 350,000 sq miles of which contain more than China's reserves of what are being called rare earth minerals. Xi let Putin get comfortable buying fiber optic cable from China at a good price, but now Xi has raised the price to an unsustainable level, nearly 3-4 times per linear foot. Putin is desperate and he's taking it out on Ukraine. Believe it or not but I started researching this "deal" based on President Xi's smile after he met with Putin for the second time. I went back through photos of Xi smiling and they were all the same, fake, but the smile I saw was one of triumph. Then came the footage of how powerful he had become after the Communist Party Congress which meets only at 5 year intervals. I'm praying that Xi moves quickly and ends this war. Perhaps I need to believe it but people who've heard my argument says it is quite possible given the Chinese still call the middle 1850's forward as China's "Century of Humiliation" ending only when Mao said it did after he remolded or murdered the people who could not adapt to his form of Communism after WW ll.

It's like the beginning of an apocalypse: Russia has attacked Kostyantynivka with banned phosphorus, which incinerates all living things, and dropped a FAB-1500 bomb on the city. Terrible.

Unfortunately Putin like Hitler, who's playbook he used, the more he fears the more violent he gets. Leaders who go to war based on lies end up dead. That is what Putin fears the most. I know of only one psychopath, a serial killer, who asked to be put into general population after spending a few months alone in a protected cell. He had raped and killed young boys and he was dead, murdered, inside of one week. I did not shed a tear. The rest bargained to stay alive. Putin is just like them, he knows that he is likely be killed for the damage done to Russia's economy. He won't stop until someone makes him stop.

russia calls us “Nazis” Because it has nothing else left to call us. But graves don’t lie. Archives don’t lie. History remembers who invaded whom. We were never russian. We were colonized, silenced, starved - And we still survived. I’m Ukrainian. And that truth scares them. #ukraine #ukrainians #UkraineRussiaWar

Tell your Mom she is WRONG! You are so cute and you are just relearning how to walk. I knew a pup that lost a leg and he used his tail like the tail rotor of a helicopter and he even learned to run with his tail wagging in a circle to keep him from running in a circle. It was the cutest and funniest things I've ever seen. 🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️

They had better have the votes or we the people will be wondering what the hell is going on. Did Clinton really confirm that Trump wasn't involved with Epstein or his island prison? I call bullshit to Clinton's and Trump's lies. Let's confirm the truth once and for all. MAGA supporters do you want to continue believing nothing but lies? If I were you I'd demand to know the truth because if you demand it now you will all look like you stand up when it was a grave injustice. If it comes out later it will show that you do not have any morals at all.

Why are we punishing her for Trump's actions? She was young and foolish but that is not a crime nor is raising your child to be a good person despite him having the cards stacked against him. I've seen nurture over nature fail miserable and I have seen the opposite. I pray for her sake that Barron is a good person. She kept him separate from his father and that was a good thing so now we wait and see. If you found yourself a victim of Epstein what would you do to get off that island? Answer that question honestly and you will not support deporting Melania because of being young and foolish.

I'm so sorry. I know how you feel, I had one who had a stroke but she was old and there was little that we could do. She was deaf and very confused after the stroke and I tried everything but she forgot to eat so I had to come home at noon and make sure she ate by carrying her back to the food bowl repeatedly. Then I'd go back to work. If Matilda is young and can hear you, you can start doing rehab with her if only one side is affected. My Father did it after a stroke; he came back 99% of the way to his former self. He believed in me. I didn't give him even an hour after he received the clot buster. While they moved him into the ICU I went home and showered and grabbed a small foam ball used for stress release and gave it to him and told him that the sooner he started the better he would be and I was praying I was right. I wrapped my hand around his and squeezed the ball and after 10 minutes I felt his fingers curl around the ball and hold it in place. He couldn't squeeze but it was movement. I left him with my Mom and looked for a private bathroom and cried like a child. It wasn't out of loss it was sheer relief that I wasn't going to lose my Dad. Unfortunately, humans learn better through pain, it cuts through the bullshit we are subjected to on a daily basis. So cut through the bullshit and believe in Matilda and yourself.

He was better for the economy and wasn't trying to show off to Putin that he can win a war, other than that he refused to help Ukraine and acted surprised when Russia invaded Ukraine. He learned about it from the CIA and MI6 (UK) well before and could have called Putin and said you don't want to go there with me. Somehow he decided to follow in Obama's footsteps and let Ukraine fall under Russia's control. What's a little genocide when you are assuaging your buddies pride. The buddy would be Obama.

💛 Can we send a little extra kindness into the world today? Meet Nora. She’s brave, she’s strong, and like every child, she deserves to feel surrounded by love and encouragement. Sometimes when little ones aren’t feeling their best, what helps most isn’t just medicine — it’s knowing people care. A kind word. A thoughtful message. A reminder that she’s not alone. Let’s fill this space with positivity and hope. If you believe encouragement makes a difference, drop a heart or a sweet message below. 💕 Because when a community comes together with compassion, it creates light even on the hardest day
