Alfie here, not a copy and paste from my inbox. I don't think I've been clear in my previous short posts so gonna add more meat to the bone. Since posting about Gunner Becks' death from suicide, and it was published she "suffered relentless sexual harassment" i started receiving inboxes from women who have suffered similar. Some historical, but a depressing amount of current. Over the years I've tried my best to change some bits and campaigned over scoff, housing, contractors, coy cubs, and male mental health. We know the MOD on most issues uses shit policies to explain why the above is what it is. Reading victims' stories (some i could but most i couldn't share) has opened my eyes to the epidemic of sexual violence within Defence. These women are our mates, our colleagues, our soldiers. I don't know what I'm expecting to get out of posting this, i don't have any answers, just maybe take a minute to give it a second thought if you're still serving.
