Change the thought process when the game is on the line from “what happens if I fail?” To “what do I know right now?” 1. I know I’ve trained for this moment 2. I know that I’ve prepared for this moment mentally 3. I know that I’m alive; I’m breathing and I’m in the moment.

Young players: the game speeds up if you don’t think before the pitch. I.O.U. I = Infield (where’s the play?) O = Outfield (where’s the play?) U = You (where are YOU going with it?) Perfect example of SS thinking pre-pitch here and makes the 6-3 double play to end the inning!
