Opening day at The Jay was a 7inn battle with Kearney. Liberty took a 7-5 lead in the 7th to hold on for a 7-6 win. Fletcher Pauling led the Jays going 2 for 4 with a 2B & 3B, 2 bibbies. Jonathan Pearcy 2 for 4, Grady Coppinger 2 for 4. Owen Shelton in relief 2 1/3rd IP 3 K’s, Steven Holtzclaw the 1 out SV. Jays are 2-0 and face Grain Valley 1pm Saturday @ LHS.
