Just want to confirm that this is the case here - Lowe made the team but was not able to play and had to decline.

The most obvious name missing is probably Calloway County’s Sayler Lowe who was recently named 1st Team All-State by the Courier Journal and Herald Leader I don’t know this situation in particular, but I do want to note that just because a player isn’t included, that does not mean they didn’t make the team. There are always other factors that come into play for these All-Star games (players heading to college early or their college team asking them not to play, recovering from an injury, already had prior commitments on these dates, etc).

Then there was an extra special connection getting to watch Assumption accomplish a goal that my teammates & I always set for ourselves in my time there. To be blunt, playing basketball at Assumption back then was not always a great experience. When I was there, we endured A LOT of struggles and adversity, including having a different coach every year. But the bonds, sisterhood, and community was ALWAYS something so, so special. For the first time in over a decade, I was reminded of just how special that feeling is while watching the Rockets make a run to the State Championship game this year. Watching the community show up, watching those girls show up for one another, watching the way that they interact with one another… what an excellent reminder of what Assumption is all about. I will always be proud to be a rocket🚀 So to the 2025–26 Assumption girls basketball team, thank you not only from myself, but from all my teammates and everyone else that came before you all. @Coach__C_ @RocketSportsAHS

As media, it’s always really special getting to cover the KHSAA Girls’ Sweet 16®🏀 However, this year brought some extra special feelings. For starters, I got to watch two of the best coaches I know go to battle for the second time this season. @CoachRDG & @Coach__C_ are not only special coaches, but they really are special human beings. They deserve every good thing that comes their way! Getting to cover GRC in multiple Sweet 16’s now has been so much fun & it was awesome to get to see those girls bring home their school’s 1st ever State Title. Huge congrats to GRC, all of those players, and the coaches!! @grc_hoops
