This is exactly what @0xPolygon aims to achieve with the launch of the Polygon Open Money Stack, a vision that can simply be described as moving all money on-chain. The video shows @ishowspeedsui purchasing an item in Nigeria using crypto (USDT). This is a clear, real-world example of fiat-to-stablecoin on- and off-ramp usage in action. To connect on-chain money with the real world, the Open Money Stack integrates seamless on-ramps and off-ramps that allow easy conversion between fiat currencies and stablecoins. Although Speed is not Nigerian, he was able to transact effortlessly without needing to convert dollars to naira. You can also notice how quickly the transaction was completed, it was incredibly fast. With this technology, you no longer need to move around with large amounts of cash to shop or pay for accommodation while far from home. Cross-border transfers become simple, fast and frictionless. Nigeria is already early in crypto adoption and this video clearly highlights that progress. It’s time to move all money on-chain. Video credit: @ishowspeedsui

Polygon’s $250M payment pivot: We sat down with @0xMarcB, the CEO of @0xPolygon Labs, explaining why being just “another fast L2” is no longer a viable business model. For years, Polygon owned DeFi. Fast, cheap transactions. $10 billion TVL at peak. Then FTX collapsed, enterprises fled, and competitors caught up on speed. Polygon faced a choice: become irrelevant or get ruthlessly focused. The answer: Stop being everything to everyone. Start being the best at one thing. And that one thing is payments.
