TLDR these indie are not like Bojack bc none of these writers could or would make a character like Bojack that is by all accounts, irredeemable and they certainly wouldn’t take the focus off of their writers pets to build a story either.

Unlike TADC in Bojack Horseman not only is there focus on the other characters but the show actually explores their complicated feelings abt the world around them including Bojack himself, in fact they’re even allowed to dislike him and want nothing to do with him -
