Granillo made some impact last year and had flexibility with two options left. Cardinals swap him for Soriano, who pitched to a 8.35 ERA in 36.2 IP last year (36 Ks). Career 5.95 ERA. Soriano also out of options, so not the flexibility to be shuttled. Interesting.

The alleged John Mateer account on Venmo just went private/removed its public feed within the last few minutes, it appears. I did see the posts before that happened, so it's not a case of photoshop, etc.
