This week, members from Bexar County joined @CommishJRod to tour several @HCSOTexas & @TheHarrisCTR facilities, including the Diversion Center—where individuals with a #mentalhealth nexus can be redirected from the criminal justice system toward care & services. @HCSO_CIB

We spent some time this week visiting Harris Co Diversion Center. Lots to learn from each other on admin of justice. We shouldn’t be filling our jail with low level offenders suffering from mental health disorders. There is a better path forward to get them help & on right track.

Proud to celebrate innovative, resilient and supportive housing in Precinct 2. Bexar County has invested $4.5M to stabilize the Hudson Apartments and fund the Hudson Service Center, bringing on-site services such as childcare, job training and wellness. #housing
