🇲🇽 Grupo Mexico’s Unidad La Caridad mine has been awarded The Copper Mark and The Molybdenum Mark after completing its second assessment cycle. The mine in Mexico’s Sonora state has more than 1,000 employees and produces #copper and #molybdenum concentrates.

Congratulations to Eurasian Resources Group’s Metalkol site on being awarded The Copper Mark—it is the first tailings processing site to earn this distinction. Metalkol reprocesses historic copper-cobalt #tailings in the DRC to produce #copper cathode and #cobalt in hydroxide.

🇩🇪 Aurubis’ Deutsche Giessdraht GmbH plant has been awarded The Copper Mark. The site in Germany produces highly conductive wire rod (RheinROD) that is used as starting material for wire and cables, for wind turbines, EVs, electronics, electricity transmission, and more.

🇨🇱 Antofagasta’s Minera Los Pelambres mine has completed its second assessment cycle and has been awarded The Copper Mark and The Molybdenum Mark. In 2024, the site in Chile produced 319,600 tonnes of copper and 8,400 tonnes of molybdenum through a milling and flotation process.

🇨🇱 Molymet’s MolymetNos roasting and conversion plant has begun its journey towards assured responsible production through the Copper Mark. 1,000+ people work at the plant in Chile, which has a roasting capacity of 82 million pounds per year and has been operating since 1975.
