At that moment, Collins was the only human not in the frame, making him, in a way, the most isolated person alive. We’ve come a long way!

@CornPop_303 @BGatesIsaPyscho Rockets follow an arched trajectory, known as a gravity turn, primarily to achieve orbit efficiently by building horizontal velocity, not just altitude. Going straight up would cause the rocket to fall back to Earth. Anything else I can help you with, Floppy Tom?
