Merino and Gyokeres have contributed next to nothing in this match. Itโs crazy. Wouldnโt even know theyโre on the pitch. As I said for the Liverpool match, the fix is Eze in midfield and Merino false 9. Has Arteta got the courage to use Eze in midfield though.

One thing that got #ResultsBasedAnalysis'ed was the Gyรถkeres/Kai pairing in the 4-0 win at Leeds. Both first-half goals were set pieces; there was only one first-half shot otherwise. Gyรถk goal was when game was stretched and after Havertz came off. Both were off for goal #4.

@Bd_irB_ll Thatโs not true. He asked for Isak and Rodrygo, they gave him Gyokeres and Noni. Thatโs a fact. You can ask HoA if you want. Isak and Rodrygo were Artetaโs choice - guys that can create, score, REAL attacking quality that can make the difference.

What yesterday showed was that, without Odegaard in particular, technical level not high enough at Arsenal. (Missing Odegaard, Eze and Merino for the same position proved to be a bridge too far too). History tells us Arteta sees issues and, if anything, over corrects in the market. Strongly suspect technique on the ball in small spaces will be a very big priority in the summer.

I think the mistake Kai made was not hitting the ball earlier. Looked like the stride before this was the one. Trafford does really well here to rush out and make himself big. The finish is fine - itโs not a bad miss. You just need to take your chances in big games.
