Build a strong opposition & fight your battles the right way. Sa’idu Barda from Mani, Ibrahim Shema from Dutsin-ma, Aminu Masari from Kafur, and even Dikko Radda from Charanchi are all from humble backgrounds. The only one with real family affluence & influence from the start was Umaru Yar’adua from Katsina.
Mustapha Aliyu Jibia@Mustaphajibia

Now its very clear in katsina state political tickets are being reserved for the son and daughter of the elite and the royal family. 1-senator Audu soja (yar'adua family) 2-Yusuf Muhammad buhari(son of late president) 3-Muhammad daha umar faruq (son of emir of daura) 4-Fahad dahiru mangal(son of dahiru mangal) Politics has totally changed in katsina state. I used to think this way too, but my perspective has shifted. As imperfect as our political recruitment system is, we’ve also been too timid to make the sacrifices required to gain entry into it. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal started as a legislative aide, rose to become Speaker of the House of Representatives, and eventually became Governor of Sokoto State, now a Senator, all through climbing that same ladder of loyalty & positioning. We have to overcome our complexes & cynicism if we truly want to be in the arena.

I genuinely struggle to understand people like this. Imagine making it your life’s mission to trail politicians around and snap photos like souvenirs. No drive to build anything. No ambition to create value. Just vibes and camera rolls. How can this be your grand plan?

Even Rabiu cannot withstand the pressure, because import licence is not given to a common man, like me & you. Alh Aliko knows this truth. However, I do not doubt Rabi’u’s competence. He is the kind of professional whose technocratic depth & work ethic are easy to admire. Few attain the kind of trajectory Rabiu has had in such a short time, from the downstream sector in Oando, into logistics & supply chain at Lafarge, and later an executive role at the Dangote Group. He is very close to influential industry figures, particularly Wale Tinubu of Oando & Alhaji Aliko Dangote. Having someone as NMDPRA CEO with such strong affiliations within the operator space raises concerns about optics in the sector. Industry players need a neutral & level playing field to ensure fair competition, maintaining confidence in the regulatory environment. Appointing him Minister of Petroleum would arguably be better. This would have positioned him focusing on policy formulation & broader gov’t programmes, rather than agency CEO directly carrying out oversight of his immediate competitors. We must insulate regulatory outreach from ridicule & funny perception.

Once I identify a stressor in my life, I try as much as possible to eliminate it or manage it better. That is one of the ways I live life on the easy side.

A brother sent me a message this morning, and I could sense how distressed he is. He is struggling because his wife has adopted the narratives that are usually echoed by feminists. She sees Islamic and traditional roles as a system to subdue and disadvantage women. This shift from a shared family ecosystem to a model of individual competition is the root of so much pain today. Our parents did not have perfect lives, but they understood that a marriage is a community victory. Today, we are told that our own happiness is the only thing that counts, which turns the home into a place of negotiation instead of a place of rest. When you use the language of political activism to talk to your spouse, you lose the peace that the Quran describes. It is not possible to find tranquility when one person is always looking for signs of being oppressed instead of being loved. Another thing I have noticed in recent times is how this generation of ladies/women carry past hurts. In fairness to some, they need thorough healing, while some purposefully use it as a shield to avoid the hard work of building a solid character. Even though I argue that those wounds are real, but they often use them to justify being difficult. That was not the way of our parents. Our grandparents were tough and they knew that marriage needs a level of endurance and overlooking faults that our modern world hates. We have forgotten that men and women are wired differently. And adopting feministic activism which tries to force us into identical molds creates a friction that burns the house down. If we remain more loyal to our personal ideologies and defensive boundaries than to the project of the soul that is marriage, we will keep seeing these broken stories. You know the most unpopular one? People now spend millions on the party, yet they forget the souls of the people they want to bring together. Unfortunate💔

In the current economic reality, anyone who hosts you in their house and feeds you, make you feel comfortable like our parents did with visitors back then, they really LOVE and RESPECT you. Never take it for granted. Also remember not to stay long. Leave as soon as you can. ❤️

🚨 Musk vs OpenAI's lawyer — the cross-examination exchanges William Savitt — Wachtell Lipton's lead defense lawyer, Supreme Court clerk, trained to break witnesses. Savitt opens with a misleading premise. Musk: "You're being misleading. What you're saying is false." Savitt tries again with a different loaded frame. Musk: "Your questions are not simple. They are designed to trick me." Savitt demands a yes or no answer to a complicated question. Musk: "If you ask a question where there is no possible simple answer, I must give a longer answer because any simple answer would be misleading the jury." Musk reaches for an analogy: "The classic answer to a yes or no question is not so simple. For example, if you ask the question 'will you stop beating your wife?'..." Judge Gonzalez Rogers cuts him off: "No, we're not gonna go there." The courtroom laughs. Savitt apologizes for the question. Musk: "I find it funny you saying it wasn't an unfair question since you're only asking unfair questions." Savitt: "I'm doing my best." Musk: "That is not true." OpenAI's lawyer came to break Musk. Musk wasn't having it.

in order to become a better person, you must first realize how horrible you really are. not in the dramatic sense, but in the quiet ways you sabotage yourself, repeat unhealthy patterns, hurt people who care about you, or tolerate what wounds you. you cannot grow if you keep pretending you're innocent in the story you created.
