Bit of help please folks!......for UK-based folk. Insect splat on your cars this spring. Have you found it: - Same as normal? - Less than normal? - More than normal? If you could say what part of the country you're in that would be helpful too 🙂 THANKS!

@ne_henry Interesting. I've found the opposite here in Braemar. Hayfever much better than normal 🤔

@CountrysideBen Noticeably more than normal, commute on A9 in Perthshire. Also bad hay fever this year. Connected?

@CountrysideBen Visiting, in Scotland mainly Perthshire and the Borders. Have never encountered this situation previously. Thought I was back home in Oz.

Lovely —if chilly— conditions today on the Ochils. This is the closest I’ll get to a white Christmas, I fear.

@Richard_Barron The idea was to approach it more holistically, like motorways with roads intersecting them. I’ll have to go back and see what it looks like and whether it works 😉

@CountrysideBen 😂 to be fair to them they have mostly done that. These are either extra or replacements only seen a few that are congregating with their older brethren.

Ooo, just popped out for firewood and happened to see the best shooting star I've seen in ages! 😀 Very bright, maybe 2 or 3 seconds in duration. In the western sky.

‘Poorly performing scrubland’, whatever that is, seems to be a target in the new planning regulations 🙄 No surprise there. Pretty much every single planning application I reviewed for access/biodiversity impacts in my last job employed ‘scrub’ in a derogatory context.

Surreal, spring-like conditions in the Cairngorms today. Warm, sunny and snowy......and not a breath of wind. Really didn't want to come down, but I hung around up high till after sunset 🙂

@Badgeraz The swings in temperature have caused problems for path work recently. -10C to 12C and back again.
