Per source, former Hawkeye/Cyclone Cody Chittum has signed to wrestle for the Ohio State Buckeyes after recently entering the transfer portal. Chittum has 2 years of eligibility remaining. Nice pick up! @wrestlingbucks

What’s your take on this slam call in PA?! McCort was called for a slam in the blood round here and opponent ending up staying down and winning by DQ. Brutal way to lose a state medal…

@xnayrkr @MatScouts1 WRONG! b/c only 1% of them are PJ Duke elite and can place at the state tourny or even make it to the state tournament. Where as in PA & NJ they still wrestle 100 quality matches and get better. Plot twist that “ok wrestler” gets worse 10/10xs. Starting early is not a good thing.

Uh. Get this. New York has 101lbs. at the state tournament. The kid who took 5th was a 7th grader. Who won Super 32. In the 11u division.

@MTorriero @JamieTomsic1 @SonnyCloseRVA Just because the school appreciates wrestling does not mean “he” would be a priority. Yes dual atmosphere is cool but probably on the lowest tier of checkpoints when looking at the full picture. Coaching, academics, teammates, location ect supersedes

I told a wrestler the other day: look at the crowd size for home duals and make your college decision based on that. If you have the choice, go where wrestling is appreciated and valued. Wrestle in front of a packed crowd

It’s overkill. In reality. You shouldn’t be wrestling more than 5 matches in a day safety wise. Going both styles at local tournaments during spring/summer sometimes you can get more matches in the day but there should be a few fish in there as well. This is wayy over kill. And I’m someone who wrestled year round won kids nationals multiple times, won tulsa, went to the OTC, wrestles national duals and multiple regionals both styles, double AA’d every year, won Fargo, Ironman, Super 32 2x in hs. I wrestled a TON and it was 1/3rd as much as this.

Wrestling dads: don’t do this.

You are a complete wresting noob or have crazy Penn State bias if you don’t see that Angelo Ferrari is really talented and a dangerous opponent. The fact that he didn’t score against a 4x champ who has crushed the best in the sport (Keckeisen) means nothing. The kid wrestled an incredible match tonight and is a real threat.
