Tier 2 really is in a dire state atm. I know this gets said every year but it feels worse than ever. - Players being off contracts for 6 months in the longest off-season VAL has had. - So many offseason tournaments inviting only T1 teams instead of a mix like they should. - Ascencion being after VCT Champs, so a lot of good T2 players missing out on trials. - Not a single org caring about "Split 3" because it doesn't mean anything and is a waste of payroll. - NA having 2 (maybe 3?) orgs going into 2025. - EU having like 4 decent ones (guessing more will drop out soon). - Some TOs not even paying their prize pools which Riot just doesn't care to enforce. - LTR rules completely ruining EMEA and spreading the talent way too thin. - EMEA Ascencion having a LAN for only the final 2 matches. It's just baaaaaaaaaaaad, I get there is no easy solution to fix everything but surely Riot can do better than this. I feel like offering solutions for 2027 onwards is just useless, expecting orgs/players to put up with this format for 3 more years is a terrible idea. I've seen this entire type of system crash and burn in Overwatch (obviously had a lot of other problems too), would really hate to see it again in Valorant.
