The Popham Battle of the Books team tied for 2nd place at the Elementary Battle of the Books Competition that took place May 8th at Del Valle Middle School. The amazing team was coached by Popham's art teacher, Ms. Kaylor, and Literacy First Teacher, Ms. Ragan. Way to go Pandas!

Mrs. Gonzalez, Popham’s amazing music teacher, graciously donated these beautiful books that were used for her Civil Rights Movement through Music Unit to the Popham Library! The books were purchased through the LBJ Library Foundation grant that Jediah Gonzalez was awarded.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! On Friday all Pre-K classes reviewed the color zones of emotions (red-anger, blue-sadness, yellow-excited and green-happy) during Ms. Brown's counseling lesson. Students had so much fun with the parachute! #PophamProud🐼

What a great turn out for our “Going Wild at Popham” event! 1st grade students put on a wonderful performance and we had so many families stay to enjoy all the animal stations including a baby alligator and 2 snakes! Thank you families for spending your Friday afternoon with us!

On Saturday our Popham cheerleaders attended the ACE LEAD Cheerleading Competition at Del Valle High School. They performed an amazing routine. Way to go, Pandas! #PophamProud
