@LRiddickESPN @SInow Would love to get your thoughts. I do understand the roster concern especially at receiver. However, the Bills had the top rushing offense in football, top 5 offensive line, top 10 defense which was top 5 since November. Bills statically was one of the best teams in football.

Not with the weakest roster that they’ve had in the Josh Allen era. There are only three blue-chip players (Allen, Cook and Dawkins) on the Bills. Historically, it takes 8-12 blues to win a title. The Super Bowl expectations were always unrealistic. No QB can overcome those circumstances.

@danorlovsky7 It feels like a mission to justify mvp picks. Stafford did not play a great game at all. And the final drive was soft defense (arguably poor defense) by the Panthers. There was nothing MVP like.

@danorlovsky7 I think you are missing the point, and I think Gruden did a good job with pointing this out, he’s taken massive hits in college and been through injuries. He’s not overcome those injuries like other QBs, meaning since college he’s missed time.

Lot of young QBs we’ve seen coming the league become very good players we said this about.
Yes he will have to learn to take less hits and big ones—-but I love this competitive fire.

People don’t know how to develop QBs anymore
1) Tempo became king. Just run a lot of plays not good ones
2) RPO’s became king
3) Look to sideline for coaches to call good plays. So QB doesn’t learn how to be problem solver
4) Promote athlete over accuracy
Qbs aren’t raised in the “be a problem solver” mode anymore

Something to keep in mind with Jaxson Dart: Mike Kafka was in charge of Patrick Mahomes’ developmental program as a rookie in KC. Can see him doing something similar w/Dart + Giants. Have spoken to people who interviewed Kafka for jobs and they said his plan was VERY impressive.
