the problem with telling your friends your relationship issues is that they never forget
once you plant that seed early, they anchor to the bad. even if things get better, it’s always “but remember…” followed by whatever you told them
over time, if you’ve complained enough, it turns into “glad you’re seeing him, tell him i hate him”
and once it gets there, it’s basically over. even if you move on internally, your friends won’t. the commentary never stops, and it slowly wears you down
either keep the problems private, or be honest that you’re building a narrative you won’t be able to undo
because once your friends decide who someone is, they rarely update it

Do people just play arc raiders all day and not pvp? Not trying to be mean just curious. Like if you are mad at pvp in an extraction shooter why not play like helldivers?? Maybe I just don’t get it.

@GuapoGary_ Same goes for PvP folks as well though. There are WAAAAY more PvP focused extraction games out there than PvE. But ya, killing Arc, teaming up with folks and getting goop are all that matters. But the anger also comes from PvP folks not letting PvE just be.

ARC Raiders appeals because of its aesthetic, world building, environments, and gameplay. It's the perfect amalgamation for a SciFi nerd like me.
But getting shot at by other players sucks.
The cooperative part is what's fun for players like us. Those of you who live and breath PvP will never understand that. Yes, we can and do play all day doing only PvE, helping other players, and it's a blast for us. Until someone shoots us, then it's not.
PvE has a huge playerbase. It's why games like Everquest and World of Warcraft were hugely popular during the golden age of MMOs. We love working as teams and defeating enemies.
You don't get it, and that's okay. Just wish folks had more understanding for the PvE crowd. It's just the way we're wired.

The mechanics and gameplay of ARC Raiders is too fun to have it be denied every 10 seconds by some jobless weirdo spending 15 hours a day on the game.
