Russians are now relying on Chinese for spares and components, that's another headache They are not 100% reliable considering how many times they have taken us for ride I speak against F 35 because of how unreliable Americans are and the fact we have never used American jets and the fact that it's operation and maintainence is extremely expensive And will Americans make F35 in India? No Will they give source code? Lol Will there be Indian components in F 35? Lol Will Lockheed reinvest money back in Indian ecosystem? Lol Still want to take a chance on SU 57 and F 35? Bulk order of Rafale means we are tying down France and they will have to come through on the Kaveri SAFRAN engine Mastering Engine is tougher than mastering rockets, China is still perfecting it after Billions of dollars invested We need French help, and have set aside $7 Billion for it You laughed when I said Indian OEM will gain experience on Rafale which can be used for Tejas MK II - I still stick to this, I strongly believe Desi Rafale OEMs will come through for Tejas MK II and AMCA as well In another scenario if HAL had been given no order of Tejas (it currently has 220 total) one could say that we are not serious about indigenisation But HAL has been put to task to prove everyone wrong by delivering everything on time When Tejas MK II flies it will get the desired love and bulk orders as well Every year Indian government will keep adding 2-5 Billion extra in line with global pattern and our defence budget will soon cross $100 Billion But right now, Rafale is our best bet and I am ready to die on that hill
