@Data_BC Is it possible to say which sources don’t agree to data sharing? Would it be possible to e.g. simply publish BCA address data with field linking to the parcel map fabric?

@Data_BC any way we could get the entire address dataset for BC as bulk download? The one your geocoder uses. Any reason why that's not available as open data? Other than maybe postal codes which could be stripped.

@vb_jens Thanks for your feedback! The Geocoder’s reference dataset is compiled from a variety of third-party data sources and not all permit the Province to share their information external to the Geocoder’s API.

@Data_BC Thanks. Having a hard time understanding why cities can publish the data and you can't. It would be great to have a single source that covers all of BC. Btw, CoV also has a dataset that exposes the postal codes for each unit, as does Surrey.

@vb_jens @LausterNa Understandable. Looking forward, there may be movement towards data de-identification regarding these datasets, thus providing the public with access to high-level summary data on this issue. But as of now, no such plans are in place for this registry. Early days, though!

@Data_BC @LausterNa Thanks for the info. I think I was hoping for high-level summary data. For each municipality, how many presales, how many assignments, some stats on difference in value of assignment to original pre-sale. To avoid having to FOI it all the time.

@Data_BC Thanks eh! I notice I already had @HealthLinkBC locator app, from 6yr ago it seems! - and it has become deprecated on my updated iOS system. Any plans to upgrade?
