Have a peace filled Memorial Day. Do remember that the free franks, the free hamburgers, and the free soda, DID HAVE A HIGH COST! The "cost" where the human lives that were lost during war. WE REMEMBER THOSE WHO HAVE DIED DURING ACTIVE MILITARY SERVICE TO PROTECT OUR DEMOCRACY!

Today, I had the wonderful opportunity to return to my old high school (Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx) to speak to small groups of students for their annual career day for students who are exiting their junior year and will begin their senior year in Fall 2024.

At 108 years old, Dorothy Burnham continues to provide mentorship to our students. Although she is retired from SUNY Empire State University, she came out to our event and immediately went to work. As you notice from the photograph, with pen in hand, she continues to educate.
