God designed humanity for glory. No person designed themselves, nor did anyone bring themselves into being. The God who created us did so for His own glory, fashioning us to be an expression of Himself, just as Christ is the ultimate expression of God. We have been called to nothing less than this divine likeness. In the book of Romans, Paul laments that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Roman 3:23. This departure from our original purpose, and the subsequent re-attainment of it, is the core of the Father’s intent through Christ. Redemption is the process that brings humanity back into the glory that was lost in Adam, restoring our position as bearers of the divine image.

He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly. Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remains of the city. - Numbers 24:16-19

How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel! As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters. He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted. God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows. He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee. - Numbers 24:5-9

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them. God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn. Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought! Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain. - Numbers 23:19-24

The man did not say he would nuke Iran. He was clearly referring to the strike he intends to deliver against the leadership of the rebellious nation. Why are people so intent on misunderstanding him?

When a man is right-handed, it does not mean he under appreciates his left hand. The beating heart and the silent kidneys are both relevant to existence. The rain that falls and the sun that shines are both necessary. Interpretation: The strong emphasis on Point A does not invalidate the unstressed Point B.

WINNING No longer act like God has forsaken you, for He has promised that He won’t (Hebrews 13:5-6). Only learn to lean firmly on His word and never give in to loud circumstantial symptoms. If you don’t yet see Him, keep hearing Him. Keep listening. Keep your heart and eyes on the promise. You won't break, they will. Pray that you endure the trial. It’s a trial, and the divine promise is that you’ve already won, because prayer aligns us with the opportunities, strength, direction and wisdom required to the long won victory. If you will stand, no matter how hard or impossible it feels, you will win, because God said you won.

We know that since Christ has been raised from the dead, he is never going to die again; death no longer has mastery over him. For the death he died, he died to sin once for all, but the life he lives, he lives to God. _ Romans 6:9-10 NET

LOVE WAS THE MOTIVATION Resurrection Sunday isn't just about the empty tomb; it's the final chapter of a story driven by radical, sacrificial love. When we think of the day, we must look at the motivation. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13) The Resurrection is the proof of that love's power. Christ's sacrificial death was fueled by it, and the Resurrection is the ultimate triumph. It's not just a miracle of life; it’s a miracle of devotion. Resurrection Day, therefore, is a Day of Sacrificial Love. It's a standard of how far love is willing to go.

For I passed on to you as of first importance what I also received – that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day according to the scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as though to one born at the wrong time, he appeared to me also. _ 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 NET

Or have you forgotten that all of us who were immersed into union with Jesus, the Anointed One, were immersed into union with his death? Sharing in his death by our baptism means that we were co-buried with him, so that when the Father’s glory raised Christ from the dead, we were also raised with him. We have been co-resurrected with him so that we could be empowered to walk in the freshness of new life. For since we are permanently grafted into him to experience a death like his, then we are permanently grafted into him to experience a resurrection like his and the new life that it imparts. _ Romans 6:3-5 TPT

But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name–[Isa. 56:5.] Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!] _John 1:12-13

Life has no specific date or hour to try our faith. As believers in Christ, trials lurk in every corner and conversation. Perhaps, Jesus’ strongest warning is: "Watch and pray, for ye know not the hour" (Mark 13:33). I have long been convinced that the most important business of our lives is to secure our salvation and to be watchful over our own souls. Jesus said many things that strike at my heart, but it seems His command that we watch and pray stands head and shoulders above all others.
