@acaseofthegolf1 Agree - this narrative of “it grows the game” is a falsehood. Does nothing for the bottom half of professional golf or the development of grassroots golf. Great for the guys who have cashed in, but that’s really where it ends.

Good for Hatton for getting $60M and Rahm getting whatever he got. Good for the PGA Tour guys for getting PIP and no cut events so they can get more money.
I don’t blame any of them for cashing in. Really.
But man, I have to believe all of this is really bad for pro golf.

At world No. 47, Ryan Fox was unfortunate not to make the Presidents Cup team. Had an unreal Jan-June on DPWT but played poorly toward end of summer, was skipped over for guys ranked lower than him. Responds this week by holding off Rory to win the Dunhill at St. Andrews. Boom.
