@chrisluxonmp The whole world knows NZ and its PM had zero to do with it… ditto the French and British PM - who didn’t step up at the start, Trump knows it, we all know it… but whatever, make like a hero now. The USA didn’t start it, but they said they’d end it and that’s what they’re doing

Conflict in the Middle East has driven up the price of fuel and may impact other everyday goods that New  Zealand households and businesses rely on. I’ve just finished a call with world leaders to discuss safe passage for shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Freedom of navigation, international law, stable and predictable trade routes are essential to our economy. The same goes for our friends who are hurting across the Indo-Pacific and our Pacific Islands neighbours. While we were meeting, it was encouraging to see Iran announce it would re-open parts of the Strait. Of course, this still remains a very fragile situation and it is an important moment to work together with partners.

@Keir_Starmer I live quite a long way away in New Zealand, but I’m pretty sure you had very little to do with it? Weren’t your aircraft carriers like berthed, in England? Or was that fake news?

It’s good news that the Strait of Hormuz has now reopened. This must be a long lasting and workable solution, without tolls or restrictions on routes. Today we announced our joint plan with France and other international partners to protect freedom of navigation. We need to see a return to peace and stability, and a permanent ceasefire.

The Pope cites Lebanon as an example of peaceful “coexistence” between Christians and Muslims. Fun fact: Lebanon was literally created to be a homeland for persecuted Christians in the Middle East. And it was for a few decades. The moment Muslim invaders thought they had the numbers, they started a civil war that lasted 15 years because they didn’t want to live with the same Christians who made them part of the country. Thousands of Christians were massacred, Muslims became the majority, Hezbollah took over, and the country hasn’t known peace ever since. Lebanon is the first and ultimate example that coexistence between Christians and Muslims is quite literally impossible. It’s mind-blowing that anyone would use it as an example of coexistence, let alone the Pope.

The BSA have accepted a raft of new complaints against me and @theplatform_nz . They are all from the same person who laid the mumbo jumbo complaint. We will not cooperate in any way with the BSA and do not recognise it has jurisdiction over us or any other non broadcasters on the internet.

🚨 Raped before execution 🚨 That's the destiny reserved for Niloufar Esfahani. She is only 18 years old and comes from Qazvin, in Iran. In January 2026, she was arrested together with her mother during the nationwide protests against the Islamic regime. Her only “crime” was asking for freedom and dignity. A few days later, the revolutionary court sentenced her to death by hanging. But before killing her, according to reports from activists and historical testimonies from Iranian prisons, they intend to rape her. Why? Because Niloufar is a virgin. According to a distorted and barbaric religious belief, a virgin girl who is executed would go straight to paradise. For this reason, in the past and still today, virgin female prisoners are systematically raped before execution: to “send them to hell” instead of paradise. This is a practice documented for decades and confirmed even by former officials of the regime itself. She is a girl like so many others, with her whole life ahead of her, who is about to be crushed by the ayatollahs’ killing machine.

@4evaTrump2028 @saltyreigns Even if standing for party vote, he will gain a lot of personal vote. If Tuki are smart. They will party vote New Zealand first but select Wedd personally - she works for the electorate & he’ll get in on the list then we’ll have two MPs for the region, which we desperately need.

@AnnetteConroy3 @saltyreigns Smart, smart move though. In the Tuki electorate. Hawke’s Bay loves a big strong man. Poor Catherine Wedd, hard working good lady… but… MAN, farming man too. The Nat Farmers will like him a lot. NZ First policy is old Nat values, I feel he’ll fly in.

@saltyreigns Drysdale has morphed into doughy, slightly unsettling blob of woke. If Mr Randell is possessed of a functioning moral compass and has a preference for common sense, I am open minded. But sportsball does not gain you any extra traction over other sorts of experience.

@saltyreigns Slightly concerning that he’s pro carbon credit trading & the ETS. On The Country with Jamie last year, he said more than once oh no, I stay away from the farm & business side of things, it turns to custard when I show up - that’s a worry... that that’s his opinion of himself.

@Oceanbreeze473 And the furniture and crockery they loved so much and took from the Whitehouse, all good. Funny that folk don’t know you’re joking. Such a sweet couple, they could front a washing powder advertisement - stain removal specialists.

Wow incredible yes - nope, you can’t have horses leading in the crusaders, but let’s elevate a Sikh community & their religious & cultural beliefs over all others. It seems they are the very best NZers of all, just as men are the best women, bit cringy fake, surely they see that?
Peter Mortlock@PsPeterMortlock

I find this clip incredible! As I have called out the Prime Minister in previous posts when he has got dressed up and danced with the Hare Krishnas, bowed in the Hindu temple, and videoed a huge greeting to the Muslim community on Ramadan — all while ignoring the 1.6 million Christians in NZ on Easter and Christmas over the last 3 years! This was PM Luxon’s attempt this past Easter after a lot of pressure and outcry from the past years: “Happy Easter, New Zealand. Easter is a deeply meaningful time for Christians — a time to reflect on faith, sacrifice, and the hope that comes through the Easter story and the promise of new life. Across the country, hundreds of thousands of Kiwis will come together in churches and communities to mark this important day. For many, it’s also a chance to pause and reconnect with those closest to them — and probably enjoy a bit more chocolate than we should! To everyone travelling this weekend, take care. And to those working, thank you for everything you do. Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter. PM Luxon” Notice he did not mention the name that Easter is all about (Jesus Christ), but if you listen to this video greeting to the Sikh community on their Vaisakhi celebration, see who and what he mentions! Today is this Sikh celebration day, 14th April, and while I understand people celebrating their cultures, and understand the government is for all people — this is totally out of balance! And New Zealanders had better wake up, and wake up quick, to the cultural change happening very quickly! Let me say to all of you who celebrate “diversity”, diversity has never brought blessings to any country — unity has! So make up your mind — are we a Muslim country, Hindu country, or a Christian country? Check the fruit of nations! We can’t be all! “Choose this day whom you will serve… as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Obviously these “woke MPs” are “sucking up for votes”. Sadly, even some of our Christian MPs are into it! While the PM and party at large have ignored the largest voting block they had! Notice I said “had”, not “have”! Look at the polls, Mr Luxon 🥲 But with this being an election year, the pickings are slim. No Christian could surely vote for Labour/Greens or Te Pāti Māori, all who advocate late-term abortion. And no Christian can surely vote for ACT, who brought in the murder (taking a life) through euthanasia! NZ is in a sad state of affairs politically. Everyone just thinks about the economy, the almighty dollar. And while economics is important, it is “righteousness that exalts a nation.” Get the moral base right and other things will fall into place. Praying for our government and this coming election for sure.
