Interestingly, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the renaming of 30 places in Tibet, signalling a strong response to China’s nomenclature aggression in Arunachal Pradesh. The names, grounded in historical research and affiliation to the Tibet region, will be released by the Indian Army and updated on their maps along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). This move is a direct retort to China’s renaming of 30 places in Arunachal Pradesh in April, a decision that India strongly objected. Under Modi 3.0, India aims to assert its territorial claims by assigning its own names to locations in occupied Tibet. Read more at: indiandefencereview.com/news/seven-mem…

Who in his right senses would ever believe that RAW agents would be so naïve as to disclose its devious designs by telling TTP and BLA leaders that the aim of “carrying out kidnapping for ransom [is] to play up the matter of enforced disappearances so that intelligence agencies can be defamed,” and that the real objective pro-freedom activities in Balochistan was “spreading anarchy and frustration among the people by fomenting terrorist activities”? Perhaps ISPR will someday finally be able to churn out more plausible narratives! Read More: indiandefencereview.com/news/terrorism…

On behalf of all post 71 commissioned officers one would like to request the Field Marshal for writing his memoirs. There are number of issues which merit further discussions. Large number of senior officers who took part in 71 war have written about the war. However, there is no better person than the Field Marshal to give the overall view as obviously the others were not privy to the complete overall picture. The footage shows the Russian FPV drone skimming low – just a few feet above the water as it approaches the speeding Ukrainian USV, and slams into the boat’s starboard side. The footage ends with the explosion and another robot bites the dust – or in this case, the waves. And the skill of the Russian operator is impressive; this is no slow-moving tank target. One can imagine the armies of the future; game-playing geeks to a man. Virtual reality headsets strapped on. Caffeinated energy drinks at their elbows. Fingers caressing controllers as they take on their robot enemies many miles away. Perhaps India, too, had better step up its game. Yes, we have a border surveillance UGV – the ECARS going into production and others on the drawing board. We have large aerial recce drones – some with the ability to launch weapons. But we have a long, long way to go. And face it, robots are going to dominate every dimension – air, land, sea, undersea. And it’s happening much faster than you think. The US intends to keep increasing the pressure on Moscow with missiles, drones and terrorist attacks deep inside Russia, together with aerial and sub-surface attacks in the Black Sea (through Ukraine of course). The US has officially allowed Ukraine to strike Russia anywhere using any weaponry. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent visit to North Korea and Russia-North Korea agreement to support each other has rattled America’s Joe Biden Administration enough to accelerate the war on Russia. Russia has armed its Su-30SM2 multipurpose fighter jets with missiles to target F-16 jets at 300 km range and deployed the S-500 air defence missile system in Crimea. Polish history teaches the importance of perseverance. Poles have worked hard and struggled against several odds to make their country a place where living standards are high and people respect their historical heroes. For those who are planning to visit Poland, do visit Krakow not just because it is a beautiful city but also because here is located the heart of Polish nationhood, the Wawel Cathedral, within which are buried several men and women of the days of yore, whose greatness is acknowledged by the Polish people and several others alike. In this article, the author has attempted to help non-Polish people understand the importance of studying Polish military history and acknowledge the great contribution of Polonia in preserving European culture. In case of all out-conflict Israel will require a comprehensive hybrid strategy including both defensive and offensive measures. Defensively, Israel should try to increase the capacity of its anti-missile defence systems and strengthen its civil defence measures to reduce the effects of Hezbollah’s rocket/missile onslaught. IDF offensive operations should focus on eliminating the threat. This would likely mean destroying launch sites throughout Lebanon and seizing launch areas. Therefore, an offensive strategy should be devised aimed specifically at acquiring territory so as to deny the enemy a platform from which it could launch its weapons. Moreover, Gideon Doctrine, which suggests the quick use of full force against the enemy throwing it off the balance and dealing it a crushing blow before it can recover can also be used as an offensive measure. Nevertheless, the point was that this conflict did not end with the surrender of the regular forces (army) of Iraq. It, actually, confirmed some arguments of those who supported the idea of “post-modern” warfare (or “new” wars) out of the regular (standard) type of wars (army vs. an army). On the other hand, the ability to operate using complex informal military networks allowed the Iraqi rebels after the regular phase of the war in 2003 to conduct effective asymmetric warfare, regardless of the overwhelming superiority of Western military technology. The insurgents, as well as, have been able to use the global media in order to present their warfare as a liberation war against Western neo-imperialism. However, the techniques used by the rebels were brutal (terrorism), ruthless, and in many cases targeted against the civilian population, in a campaign supported by outside structures (both governmental and non-governmental) and finance. It is sustained by an overtly identity-based campaign and reflects at the same time the features of the concept of the “post-modern” or “new” wars. Read More: indiandefencereview.com/news/asymmetri…

As the country looks forward to the full-fledged budget of the new NDA government, the major suggestions the FM has been receiving is to focus on employment generation and increase the capital expenditure allocation by 25% above the interim budget. Urjit Patel, the previous RBI governor had rightly observed: “We should aim at achieving the inflation target without losing sight of supporting economic growth.” This is precisely what Das is not doing in consort with complicit colleagues. The India Employment Report (2022) brings out how 7-8 million are added every year to the unemployed pool and how quality of jobs are extremely non remunerative in the informal sector which account for nearly 88% of the labor force. It's high time RBI became an ally of the government in promoting growthand bolstering employment generation as it did during the pandemic years. Monetary policy has excellent brakes, but in a situation where it can stimulate growth through low-costcredit, it can also accelerate growth by eschewing a single-handed approach of inflation containment. Essentially it is meant to achieve Army-Air co-ordination that could also be achieved by less disruptive actions like co-locating the army and air command at same location, having a joint operations rooms and joint planning from the initial stages. The model army is familiar with in case of artillery of allotting a portion of resources ab initio does violence to the basic of air power and that is flexibility. A component of military power that can be quickly deployed anywhere must be held centrally and not divided. Read More: indiandefencereview.com/news/military-…

The ideological foundation for such American colonial imperialism in the Americas since the end of the 19th century was the 1823 Monroe Doctrine which implied an intention to treat the Americas (especially Latin America) as the exclusive geopolitical, economic, and financial sphere of influence by the U.S.A. Many official advocates of an “open world” or “world without the border” (in fact, the globalists) are in essence proponents of M. Monroe’s doctrine and W. Wilson’s principles of a free world to implement U.S. principles and policies on a global scene. They, like W. Wilson himself, strictly reject the notion that others might construe American foreign policy as imperialistic. What is the climax of the matter, they advocate that the U.S. deserves to be above all other great powers(in fact, super- or even hyperpower) in order to employ their values to the rest of the world even using a power (soft or hard) to act on behalf of the global benefit. They propagate that openness is the cause of democracy, economic development, protection of human rights, and peace. However, in many cases, this openness is just a formal framework for the American crucial influence around the world which gradually was implemented after the official presentation of the Monroe Doctrine in 1823. An IMF and International bank was to be established to act as guardians of international flow of money ; in place of the old dog eat dog world where each nation sought to undercut everyone else. The final conference was held at Brettenwoods. Keynes despite his illness dominated the conference; not when it came to the final point which was closer to the American proposal of Patrick White than Keynes of Britain. He wanted a neutral currency rather than dollar to dominate. Keynes had clearly seen the flipside of Pound Sterling dominance in the first world war. He did not want the history to repeat after the second world war with dollar. Once again he was found to be prescient and economist of enormous foresight . For Russian President Vladimir Putin, the biggest failure is the Kremlin's inability in even having a balance in the soft-war or media war, where Ukraine is on the winning side due to cooperation from the Western media. For Putin, to counter Western propaganda and media assaults, the only options are depending on Russia’s own media outlets such as RT, Sputnik and TASS. Western nations have succeeded in significantly suffocating RT and Sputnik by imposing bans, while TASS, RT and Sputnik are deindexed from Google News and other major content aggregators. At the same time, these Russian media outlets are banned on video-sharing platform YouTube, while other social media platforms, except ‘X’ are maintaining shadow-ban on these Russian media outlets. To remedy this sorry state of affairs AHRC had urged “both the parliament and the judiciary of Pakistan to take charge of the defence forces and make them answerable to the people of Pakistan.” Unfortunately, even though ten years have since elapsed, the menace of enforced disappearances in Pakistan persists, because with Rawalpindi manipulating both the parliament and judiciary expecting them “take charge of the defence forces,” and making Rawalpindi “answerable to the people of Pakistan” is nothing but a perverse joke! May God give people of Pakistan power to accept things they cannot change! Read More: indiandefencereview.com/news/pakistans…

Accordingly, while military action may not end the incessant tribulations of the Kashmiris caused by terrorism, punitive action against perpetrators would certainly serve as a deterrent, and hence is the only practical option available to New Delhi for ensuring that terrorist violence levels do not spiral out of control! For all intents and purposes Pakistan has morphed from being a supporter of a cross-border insurgency into a full-fledged terrorist state. The terror groups manned by their citizens and supported by the state have the capability undertake missions to target us, be it in Jammu and Kashmir or elsewhere, like the earlier attack in Mumbai. They are no different from Gaddafi’s Libya and the must be called out by the international community to face the consequences for their actions. Read more at: indiandefencereview.com/news/counterin…
