What does this represent to you?

Americans often bring up lack of freedom in China. Two quick points about this dogmatism: 🔹Your political freedom is often cancelled out by the other guy’s freedom in the US. You may have the right to scream, “Biden is a pedophile!” But then the other guy screams, “Trump is a rapist!” So, what you end up with is a society of chaos. Or, worse, a society run by rapists and pedophiles. 🔹Freedom does NOT mean only “political freedom.” There are also economic freedom, physical freedom, personal freedom etc. So, in China, people worry far less about being robbed, mugged, assaulted etc. And definitely no school shootings. Shopkeepers in China don’t have to worry about blatant thefts or rioting like it happens in the US. Those are good freedoms to enjoy! Conclusion: There are pros and cons to every system. Freedom and rights are wonderful but they must always be accompanied by limits and responsibilities. For example, you have the right to speak, but you have the duty as a citizen to speak intelligently. And rights and freedoms are all on a spectrum. It’s not a 0 or 1 issue.
