It's official: I will cosplay for the first time at Dokomi! My community helped me fund it two years ago and Estrogen helped me that I can actually wear it after a long wait 🥹 I'm so happy

@ChonkyLotus Some studies show mood increases but don't follow up etc. As a scientist I can see why endos hesitate. For some girls it's a wonder drug, others have zero effects, others get super horny, others get terrifying nightmares. My endo can prescribe it but says without any promises.

@ChonkyLotus The thing with prog is, scientifically speaking the evidence for us is so mixed. 20 tgirls have 20 different experiences, and studies on a trans population are rare. Some case studies show increased happiness with bodily changes but didn't measure bodily changes. (1/2)

Some trans women online say that progesterone helps with transitioning MtF Yesterday I had an appointment with my endrocinologist so I asked about it, but he told me that progesterone is not really needed. I know I'm suppose to listen to the specialist first but I wanted to ask if you have heard different from your doctors?

@michellexotter I came out nearly a year before I started hormones ... The entire procedure took so long to start between the inner struggle of acceptance and the actual start of HRT there was more than enough time to sort myself and talk it out with the people closest to me 😬

People who come out as trans after the first month after starting hormones are built different I swear it took me almost a year and a half before I felt comfortable enough to come out to everyone
