This here is the fundamental contraction at the heart of the debate over antisemitism, antizionism, etc. The ADL, which claims to monitor antisemitism and insists (rightly, in my view) that conflating Jews with Israel is antisemitic, also claims that Israel Day is NYCโs โlargest and most visible Jewish celebration.โ
Such rhetoric is a gift to antisemites, to those who push โdual loyaltiesโ tropes, and who wrongly blame synagogues for what Israel does, etc etc.
