@michaeltbh Each engine works best on their respective platforms, combat works differently on both due to how their respective devices work/limiations - if they combine - how would mods work? Both platforms have feature gaps/changes, some changes that benefit their platform

@badccvoid I guess it depends on how many pieces, and how large. At what point is it seen as 'economical/time saving' to send up certain parts? And then assembly? Would every large piece have to have some propellant/thrusters on board? Every piece has to be pressurised, and then air locks

one hard part of launching satellites is surviving the launch phase-- what % of time+money is spent designing to these vibration tolerances? Can we start shipping huge unassembled parts to space, to a big new megastructure space station, staffed with people doing final assembly?
