In 2022, Wale Ajani wanted to contest for Senate under PDP. A friend reached out to me on his behalf and I was added to a group with him. He later scheduled a virtual meeting with everyone where he shared his plans and all. I tapped into the agenda as per he is a youth and he sounded convincing. He was also a former NYCN President.
If my memory serves me right, he was holding a weekly virtual meeting with members of the group. This is a voluntary group and at no point was payment discussed or even expected.
About 2 months later, I read on one blog that he has stepped down based on consensus agreement and that was the end of communication in the group. He didn’t even deem it fit to inform members of the group he has withdrawn from the race. Months later, Seyi Makinde appointed him as the DG of Oyo State Abuja’s liason office. Obviously, he was compensated with that as a result of stepping down earlier. He also did not announce nor share it on the group. In fact, the group became a dumping site for all sorts of posts and links from bloggers.
After the 2023 election, Seyi Makinde dissolved his cabinet and he was relieved of his appointment too. He was not reappointed which only means he was DG Liason for few months. I think he was appointed in June 2022.
He left the PDP in January 2026 and has now declared to run for Senate under ADC. He has now renamed the group, changed the group DP, locked it to allow only admins drop message. One of the admins reintroduced him and his ambition yesterday.
I didn’t exit the group since 2022 because I was expecting a day like this.
Imagine such an act of nonchalance and betrayal to your so called loyalists when you were tested with a very inconsequential appointment. You gathered a team of people that believed in your mission then withdrew from the race without informing them. You have not addressed that group since 2022! But here you are again in 2026. 😅
