@OrchaHealth #ORCHAinsights Treat it like a house move... 1. Get in the experts 2. Do all the relevant checks (ESF etc.) 3. Undertake your survey (or study) 4. Don't worry if it takes time 5. Remain evidence-based 6. Exchange (share) your findings

@OrchaHealth #orchainsights from personal experience this is liking asking who people's favourite power ranger is? They all do different things, and have different approaches. 1. ORCHA adapted ESF and NICE-ESF great for effectiveness 2. DTAC less so, but good for Data security 3. Others?

@OrchaHealth Also, don't try to do EVERYTHING, do one thing (one outcome), or a small number of complimentary outcomes WELL. Then iterate, design a follow-up & accept that things move fast in this space. The more you do in one go, the more you have to lose if the space (or your DHT) moves on

@OrchaHealth #orchainsights 1. Make sure that what you are collecting can approximate evidence 2. Have a comparator 3. Use in realistic conditions 4. Don't go mad, just do what is necessary #NICEESF 5. If possible, consider the impact of confounders

@NigeBrokenshire @OrchaHealth #orchainsights this is really interesting, & makes a lot of sense. No one-size-fits-all in digital health, we need an 'evidentiary profile' which specifies who it impacts every stakeholder. Like the old market access approach of highlighting impact on Patients, Payers, Policy...

@OrchaHealth Depends on stakeholder too, CFO wants RoI, CDO wants alignment to digital strategy, patients wants improved experience, staff want less burden etc #ORCHAInsights

@TimAndNews @OrchaHealth #ORCHAinsights it's an interesting principle, grounded in not 'gilding the lily', the cost of making the wrong decision (in terms of health consequences) for a yoga app, is likely less severe than for an insulin calculator. Therefore the ROI on an RCT for a yoga app<RWE
