@SamAMcKee One of the more infuriating points is that the Front Office seems to have completely forgotten the lessons it learned 10 years ago regarding asset accumulation and optimizing their draft position. Not sure how these lessons got forgotten in the modern NHL.

The infuriating thing about this is how close they are and still need a lot of breaks to get in. If they had ANY commitment to tanking (like Florida has done) they would comfortably inside the bottom 5. The theme of this season “Disconnect”

As of this morning, there is now a three-way tied for fifth-worst points percentage in the NHL. Leafs-Panthers tomorrow night could help decide which team finishes bottom five and could also help determine whether the Leafs keep their first round pick.
