@ComputingSt @DTECharter Need PT of subjects again. Salary not great for young graduates with CS degree with almost no promotion - unless really lucky. They will have enough after 5/10 years and maybe work in industry.

@DTECharter You cannot fix this without more Computing Teachers. Many schools have given up trying to recruit, yet could easily fill the timetable if they had the staff available.

"If schools aren't covering Computing Science. If Computing Science isn't even in the agenda. Clearly that is going to have an impact on those sorts of careers." CS is not offered at all Secondary schools in Scotland. All pupils should have opportunity to study CS at school.

@CompSciScot We have 1 CS period shared with Bus Ed in S1, then 1 period per week S2( prefer this setup for course choice in S3), then 3 periods a week S3 and S4. We operate 1 hour periods - 5 periods a day. Works well imo
