@DougEBarr

In 1972 I was given a BA(Math). I didn’t earn it for I was occupied by analyzing life. Math was useful when I found life is as simple as 1+1; and in carpentry.

It was my ambition to summarize all religious/philosophical writing. The summary is: ”Why am I?”, is the question of meaning that gave birth to humanity. There is no answer so it will be the last why. Tries to answer it are causing the death of humanity. I put it in the banner of my website. I wrote some rhymed reason to elaborate. An excerpt: By Nature’s God LIFE was inspired. To self-create lives were required With natural activities To reach out to capacities, To others, and to Nature’s God, A life that we should all applaud. Most lives had a creative past Exclusively; ours didn’t last. When given birth by “Why am I?”, Our ‘parents’ feared not knowing why. Unknowns they’d learned they should avoid And so they tried to fill the void, Unnatural activity Diminishing what we could be. By trying they broke Nature’s rule, Who searched for “Why?” would be a fool. Descendants tried to stem their fears In diverse ways, throughout the years. In doing so humanity Defined the word “insanity”. Results of tries remain unchanged Despite how they are rearranged. In vain attempts to fill the void More of the past we have destroyed. Destroying more life has to be The Age of Asininity. Destroying more life we could stop Just by returning to the top. It seems though we’ll repeat each verse But every time we’ll make things worse Until the worst concludes life’s rhyme Because we’ve just run out of time.👇more thelastwhy.ca/poems/2009/7/1…

Unless we raze it voluntarily our vertical economy will collapse as more of the money sustaining it is sucked to the top. an excerpt of rhymed reason: Our vertical Economy                                 We worship as if it's a god.                         However, it is powerless, A pipe which we should not applaud. The power that it seems to have Is what we give Economy, We then enable to decide The life we have, what we can be. The power we all give to it Is generated as we try To fill the void that's in our mind, We find when asking, "Why am I?" In our attempt to fill the void We form a population cone Around the economic pipe, Each in a horizontal zone. Our tries to fill the void with cash Suck torrents of it out the top. Since more will never be enough The sucking force will never stop. One at the top sucks in the most. In zones below each one sucks less. And in the base zone just to live, Most often suck without success. The capitalist 'cone' we form Around the source of cash we need Divides humanity so we're Disintegrated by our greed.   Our tries have screwed our 'Mother' to The point she's taking her last breath. "Garrett and Grasselli have written a paper about inflation. But what they have actually described is the thermodynamic endgame of industrial civilization. Growth is ending not as a political choice but as a physical inevitability. The economic signature of that ending is inflation, first gradual, then vertical."

What we still hope to discover elsewhere, the ideal response to "why am I?", the question of meaning our 'mother' asked that gave birth to humanity, can only be found in the space between our ears after we flush the shit that is there. an excerpt of rhymed reason: By Nature’s God LIFE was inspired To self-create. This is nonsense or synonymously, shit. Since the conception of Life its purpose for each species has been to "reach out to the limits of their capacities, to others and to Nature's God", Her self-creative, natural activity. All species except us continued their life activity to the extent our shit allowed. an excerpt of rhymed reason: By Nature’s God LIFE was inspired To self-create. The Milankovitch cycles have been Earth's heart pacemaker for millions of years. Orbital mechanics have dominated throughout. Cyclical shifts from icy glacial to warm interglacial periods - then back again - are not due to CO₂. They are a direct mechanical consequence of Earth’s positioning in space relative to the sun. The three anomalies, known as the Milankovitch cycles, are 'eccentricity' (orbital shape), 'obliquity' (Earth's tilt), and 'precession' (a planetary wobble). These cycles dictate the distribution of solar insolation flux (sunlight), particularly at 65°N, which acts as the kill switch for ice sheets. Earth is now in the Late Cenozoic Ice Age Glaciation; oddly unnoticed in a crisis about planetary warming. Global cooling is far more significant. An already cooling climate intensified 34 million years ago with the glaciation and geographical isolation of the Antarctic continent. CO₂ is not the driver nor has it initiated the many warm interglacial cycles. Even the previous glacial period, known as the Eemian, was 2 degrees warming on average than today, yet CO₂ did not shift from a steady 295 ppm. If the sheer tilt and wobble of the planet provided the energy to retreat miles of ice, then CO₂ was at best a faint secondary feedback in this process, nothing more.

I couldn't find a link to "this episode" but I didn't need it to reply. The wrong why was chosen at the birth of humanity. Yes, “read, read, read, read, read, read, read, read…” the 200m books Google estimates have been published and read by billions. You will discover why we have nearly completed our self-destruction. Not one of these books has helped prevent our demise. an excerpt of rhymed reason: There’s ‘knowledge’, ‘knowledge’ everywhere Yet still we don’t know how to think. Life is a reaction to the void. It would seem the purpose of life is to react to the void with natural activity for trying to fill the void for the past 200k years has been an undeniable disaster. The consequence had been almost complete self-destruction. an excerpt of rhymed reason: Our ‘mother’ wondered "Why am I?", And gave birth to humanity. Our ‘parents’ looked but couldn't find The reason we were meant to be. Instinctively they’d feared unknowns, So this they felt they should avoid. They tried to fill the emptiness, The first reaction to the void. Till then life had been natural, And after it was mostly so, Until their offspring asked again, Then tries to fill the void would grow. Each growth of this unnatural Activity forced them to find More space for it in life and so By need the natural declined. The natural declined until There is so little left today That soon there’ll be no life to save Unless we grow the other way. Among our tries to fill the void There's money and the life it buys. Religious/philosophical Beliefs are also in our tries. 130 million books Gives academia a try. We research endlessly but still We fail to answer “why am I?” With science and technology We’ve tried non-stop without success To fill the void. Instead we’ve made A gross environmental mess. We try with drugs, sex, games, fast food And alcohol to numb our brains, Then mix in social media, With hope none of the void remains. We try with love and family, Jobs, power and preeminence. Directed inward, tries oppose Thus end in deadly violence Which will increase along with our Accumulating pile of shit, For when we try to fill the void We’ll never see the end of it.👇more thelastwhy.ca/poems/2015/6/2…

Increasing heat evaporates More water, so precipitates Amounts of rain beyond belief That dried out land can bring relief. The floods which are a consequence Cause death and damage beyond sense. Another consequence is drought. To keep the land from drying out We suck up water from the ground Diminishing what can be found. A final unexpected drain Is water needed for the ‘brain’ That makes up A-intelligence Which is replacing Nature’s sense. Heat also melts the permafrost Releasing plagues that were long lost, And methane gas which kills as well. Heat too makes earth a deadly hell By raising our earth’s temperature  Beyond which our life can endure. The heat makes worse all hurricanes When now they hit not much remains. As heat is killing food we plant It heats the oceans so they can't Breath life into marine supplies On which humanity relies. It's heat that science also blames For turning forests into flames That burn Earth's lungs and also leave Her breath impossible to breathe. With heat and drought our deaths add up By flooding or an empty cup. Caused by the ‘death’ that fills the sky, We hear our ‘Mother’s’ plaintive cry Of mourning, for the view is stark. We're floundering and there's no ark. In ages past to stay alive We’d migrate, but we’d now arrive At places where there’s only doom Because there’s simply no more room.👇more thelastwhy.ca/poems/2017/7/3…

Everything we argue about is a way we try to fill the void. At the top of the list is trying to fill the void with money which has created our vertical economy. The "oligarchic class" is a red herring George has been dragging across the paths of everyone looking for something to blame for our predicament, for 30 years. In this 2018 interview with John Anderson, @jordanbpeterson spoke through tears about a simple, haunting truth: how little encouragement some people need to turn their lives around and how rarely they receive it. Following the recent update from @MikhailaFuller regarding Jordan’s health and his battle with akathisia and neurological injury, these words feel more poignant than ever. Jordan has spent years pouring encouragement into the lives of millions; now, we want to send that same strength back to him. John and the entire team here are praying for our friend Jordan and the Peterson family during this incredibly difficult season. If you are people of prayer, we ask you to do the same. #jordanpeterson #akathisiaawareness #prayerworks #prayer

Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet. This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power. One problem is that many articulate, confident people are forbidden by the terms of their employment to speak out. To acquiesce in the power that threatens everything is acceptable and uncontroversial. To contest it brings your employer "into disrepute" and could have you sacked. We claim to treasure free speech, above almost anything. But on the most critical issue, very few of us are free to speak. The majority are silenced by fear of censure or loss of employment. This conspiracy of silence looks more like what you'd expect in an authoritarian regime than in a democracy. bsky.app/profile/george…
