When I see a new TCG and @pawelburza involved in its promotion, I can only make one decision: PADRE'S BLESSING for me from Cyberpunk TCG. And I'm asking when the exhibition games will be in Warsaw?! :-)

2 years later and it somehow got worse. At some point its not a failure on their part its by design that they don’t want RCQs to have support.

Out of the last 4 RCQ top 8 / winners promos only 1 is somewhat played regularly. We started off with Nykthos and its been downhill since. The promos at the RC have not been better with the latest being Dragonlord Silumgar. I'm begging you WOTC talk to 1 person not out of touch.

Its so funny watching people on twitter try to understand why spotlights are smaller than the 1800 player Toronto one.
There had not been a playable open tourney in Canada since before the pandemic, not a single one.
Just show up with sleeves and a dream, limited is gas.

@TCG_TALK @Justin_Neagle yea the reality is theres lag, because spider-man got stuck at LGS level most LGS then ordered a lot less of TMNT and because TMNT did poorly it will probably reflect in marvel superheroes order numbers.

@Justin_Neagle @DroodHT Whenever any TCG says “best selling set” most of the time they mean distribution sales to the LGS, not off the shelf sales. It’s a marketing headline. Still means they are making sales. Doesn’t translate to LGS all the time.

@Justin_Neagle Maro says it sold top 10 all time and me and every LGS owner says it sold incredibly poorly / it was liquidated a below cost on black friday by every store.
It could not possibly be because stores have to order blind and there is a lag between the 2

@CCkun91 @fireshoes Still happening but it will be only to the highest tier. So i think it will remain unchanged until mid 2027 and then after that who knows how many stores reach tier 6.

@GreendeckMTG i appreciate that, we get granfathered in the highest tier for the first 6 months i think but it seems almost impossible to keep beyond that.

@DroodHT That is a bummer. I hope stores like yours can start at highest tier.
I'm happy to see some change. There's a WPN premium store by me that doesn't run RCQs (2-slotters) because, and I quote, "they dont feel like it". I hope their WPN status gets pulled to bottom tier.

@archiecoder They posted the new article today at 8pm est and basicly said premium applications were closed at of march 4th so prob just need to delete that part of the site yea

@DroodHT I don’t think there should be the old system where there were appearance fees and other toxic structures to make people think playing magic is a career.
But I think there should be incentive for people with the means to play in many events while also rewarding consistency.

Speaking of points, this is a system I mentioned over dinner in Milwaukee with some teammates and it seemed to go over well.
Day 2 matches at majors should provide Pro Tour AMPs
Reward different amounts for each and then incentivize all players Pro and an amateur to grind. 🧵

While I’m grateful for what we have Every OP announcement that isn’t a points system or the reinstatement of some sort or governing system such as the DCI leaves me immensely disappointed. Mtg is a game of risk analysis, and right now the risk for cheating is unacceptably low.
