The dark spell continued for Željezničar this week, despite finally ending the scoring drought after 727 minutes against Premijer Liga opposition. But if there's been any bright spot for them since the winter break, it's Eldar Dragović (2008, AM), who has been promoted to the first team after a stellar fall with the U19s where he had 12 G/A in 13 games. After getting an assist in the Kup win over Slavija, he got his first goal for the senior side with this half-volley against Zrinjski on Monday. With two goal contributions in his first 100 minutes, it will be interesting to see how he continues to develop and find minutes under Savo Milošević with multiple players vying for those attacking midfielder spots behind the striker.

He should probably get a chance at least, especially now that he's performing well and proving himself at BiHPL level. Gojković and Bralić's contracts are running down (+ in their 30s), Ivanišević is only on loan, and Maroodza is still 'green.' So there's every chance Ðurić will at least be given pre-season to be assessed and then a decision made on whether he'll stay with the first team or sold/loaned again.

Smart move by our neighbors. By doing a test match with domestic players right before the actual NT break, Paunović gives himself a chance to try and properly assess 40-50 players in a short period of time. Would like to see something on our end akin to this or the USMNT January camps, run by our full staff. Several interesting young players in BiH that should get looks.

After failing to net in the first half of the season, 🇨🇴 José Mulato (2003) has managed to score twice since the restart, both being game-winners in relegation six-pointers against Radnik (A) and Rudar (H) for Posušje. CF but can play anywhere across the front line, capped 8 times for his country's youth teams. Only on loan from Spartak Subotica until the summer, but could play a key role in keeping Posušje up for a 5th straight season with his goals.

Fully deserved win for Borac. Sarajevo didn't even test Jurkas until late in stoppage time, just too slow and hesitant on the ball and played into Borac's hands. Thought Karlo Perić looked good after coming on for Juričić (injury?), showed in the 2nd half that he's a good #2 option and capable of filling in if needed up top. Marinović got it spot on with his subs. Borac are getting the results now as well in the big games after playing well but not getting rewarded in these fixtures in the fall. +9 lead for them now, on course for their 4th league title as things stand.

Savo is back managing in BiH. Probably not a long-term solution for Željo, given his record of not staying for long in his previous jobs, but I think he can bring the shake-up they need. Long-term planning probably isn't the first priority right now anyway, it's about reaching Europe and getting to the summer and figuring out things from there.

@SarajevoFooty FKS doing well to limit Borac to long range shots and cutting the supply to Juričić in the penalty area. Just need the wide players to be more aggressive in those 1v1 situations in attack. Playing it too safe too often when it gets to them so far.

Halftime: Borac 0:0 Sarajevo We’re actually playing quite well, we’ve been the better team this half despite an ONSLAUGHT from the official. We can and SHOULD win this game. I’d probably take out Maroodza (he’s too shaky right now for a game like this) for Mujkić, Menalo for Kuprešak. Dont forget we have ELEZI on the bench who can be out X factor. Ignatkov has been pretty good tonight but I expect him to come off soon.

Back-to-back clean sheets as well for Radnik in the league with 🇷🇸 Andrija Marković (23) & 🇧🇦 Nikola Ðurić (19) forming their CB pairing. Worth keeping an eye on their development in the coming weeks/months. Radnik has a good track record in recent years with launching the careers of some talented CBs like Besim Šerbečić (went to Rosenborg), Samir Memišević (went to and played nearly 100 games in the Eredivisie), and Andrija Janjić (now at Zorya Luhansk in Ukraine).

Big win that for Radnik, with a last minute PK from 🇷🇸 Njegoš Kupusović (25, CF). They hadn't scored in the last 4 league games which saw them slide down into the relegation fight, but much needed win for Duško Vranešević's team to ease some pressure. A result that could have implications on both the European/relegation spots. Velež's loss opens the door up for Široki and Željo to close down on 4th.
