@TransitYEG The funding started with Edmonton and Calgary in 2017, but the funding and municipalities involved have both expanded multiple times, most recently in 2023

It looks like it could be finally happening! On Wednesday Exec Committee will look to accept a deal with Telus to fill cell service gaps in our LRT tunnels We encourage council to approve this deal, and massively increase rider quality of life #yegcc #yegtransit #yeglrt

This is a great opportunity to continue the modernization of our LRT system, and the best part is: it doesn't require any extra funding! We are hopeful that next year you will be able to look at our amazing posts while zooming through our LRT tunnels
