@sports4casuals It’s not too misleading with Ward though because he’s also hitting for average. .345 with 11 of his 19 hits being doubles. Everyone doesn’t need to be hitting homers, he’s contributing. He’s being disciplined and hitting the ball where it needs to go.

@EasyCapalot Doubles is a misleading stat, I could hit a 90 mph ground ball down the line for a double or a 400 foot flyball off the wall - I will tell you that a 68 mph bat speed is usually not going to lead to home runs

@_nateschwartz The ball has to land somewhere other than the glove for it to be anything other than an out. It’s pretty simple. Same goes for if you leap over the wall in foul territory and catch it, I guess that should just remain a foul ball then even tho it was caught ? 😭
