Kinder and 1st grade enjoyed dressing their plushie friends during our mini lesson reviewing weather in STEAM.

Yesterday 1st graders practiced pattern recognition by being challenged to create the United States flag in honor of Veteran's day during stations in STEAM.

Yesterday 4th and 5th graders honored veterans by creating flags in STEAM. The challenge was to make sure it could wave and were given a time constraint of 25 minutes after reviewing the design thinking process and deciding on materials.

This week Kindergarteners and 1st graders have been using pattern blocks to replicate flags from Hispanic countries. #HispanicHeritageMonth2024

@microbit_edu It was a part of our Launch_K5 Computer Science training. A couple of our District Innovative Coaches attended the training at UT this summer and were able to bring it back to our district. 😊

1st graders amazed me in STEAM this week! They learned about Leap Year and we did activities in our stations related to 29 days in February and the Earth’s rotation around the sun.
