I'm going to say it now: I really think #Hollyoaks is struggling with just three episodes a week. Important stories are being told - domestic abuse, JJ's trial - and they're having to cram everything in and not giving everything its proper pacing.

@eemmanuels4 @wolfofx When our cat Tom had to be put down, I was there, whispering in his ear that he was a good boy and that we loved him. He'd been a part of our lives since I was 7 years old and had been such a wonderful companion. I couldn't have left him.

@jimmybradders76 I remember her first appearance in 2007; her portrayal of the character was both funny and sensitive and the character really evolved. I remember a particularly affecting scene in which Nana shared her own experiences as part of John-Paul's male rape story. She was fantastic. ❤️

@PaulReadGB No, it is hard. We did rescue a dog but she was very gentle and an old girl so our parents chose her because they knew she would never hurt my brothers and I and she never, ever did; in fact, she was quite protective, barking at unfamiliar people and hot-air balloons. 😂

It's a great idea, rescue a dog, don't buy a pup. If only it were so easy. My age is wrong. My house is wrong. My car is wrong. My politics are wrong. My activities are wrong. I wouldn't make it through the front door of a rescue centre, despite owning Labradors for decades. No wonder rescue centres struggle to rehome. I'll be going to a reputable breeder.
